What is Casing?

Casing refers to the frame that surrounds the perimeter of the cabinet. It is also commonly referred to as the cabinet face frame. The casing is usually made of solid wood and is designed to provide structural support and help keep the cabinet square and level.

The casing can be visible or hidden, depending on the type of cabinet design. In modern or contemporary kitchen cabinet styles, the casing is often hidden or minimized for a cleaner and more streamlined look.

Cabinet casings come in different sizes and styles to match the cabinet doors and drawers they surround. They are typically installed during the cabinet assembly process and are secured to the sides, top, and bottom of the cabinet box.
