What is a Cook-top?

A cooktop, also known as a stovetop or range top, is a kitchen appliance that is designed for cooking food. It is typically a flat surface that is mounted on top of a countertop or cabinet, and can be powered by gas, electricity, or induction.

Electric and magnetic induction technologies have advanced in the cooking industry, with electric cooktops now able to be integrated into a glass countertop and placed in more convenient locations. However, the limitation of electric cooktops is that they can only be used with certain metals to prevent damaging the cooking surface. Magnetic induction technology is considered the future of cooktops as it creates a magnetic field to heat ferrous metal cookware quickly and safely, with the downside being that it only works with steel or cast iron cookware.
